A home care nurse is a registered nurse who works with patients based in their own homes.

As a home care nurse you will come into contact and treat a variety of different patients. As a home care nurse you will need to be able to cope with individual situations and administrate various treatments. Patients can vary from those who are elderly with a long term illness to a young patient with health problems. Patients can be in recovery or patients may be dying.
